The Kennedy Center hosts six interdisciplinary undergraduate majors and five minors.
Students are mentored by faculty coordinators appointed to each major program by the International and Area Studies Council. Faculty coordinators chair a faculty committee responsible for the overall direction of the major. Choose a major from the options below and begin to expand your world.

Ancient Near Eastern Studies

Dealing with the history, literature, religions, and cultures of the ancient Near East from about 3000 B.C. to A.D. 640—Ancient Near Eastern Studies focuses on humanities, social sciences, and ancient scripture. Geographically, the ancient Near East consists of the region currently designated as the Middle East.
